Dr. Sabina Goldstein was born and raised in Long Island, New York. She had a global and diverse education, traveling around the world to expand both her medical knowledge and cultural understanding. She graduated from Columbia University and then attended medical school at American University of Caribbean. She studied one year in Sint Maarten, one year in England, six months in Vietnam, and two years in New York.
She completed her psychiatric residency training at Memorial Healthcare System in Hollywood, Florida, where she also served as Chief Resident, where she was recognized for her leadership and commitment to excellence. Although she did not initially plan to specialize in psychiatry, she discovered her passion for the field during her medical rotations. She found herself deeply drawn to her patients’ stories, often thinking about them after work and feeling eager to return the next day. She was more excited to learn about this field than any other, she found meaning in helping patients with mental health. From that point on, Dr. Goldstein knew psychiatry was where she truly belonged. She fell in love with the field’s perfect balance of science, humanity, and compassion, and its ability to bring hope and transformation to others. Dr. Goldstein believes that true health is impossible without addressing a person’s mental well-being.
Dr. Sabina Goldstein believes that every person needs and deserves care that is tailored to them. She believes that any person could use support at some point in their lives. She takes the time to understand her patients’ lives, backgrounds, experiences, and the people they hope to be. Dr. Goldstein grew up playing sports, with Taekwondo as her primary focus. As an adult, she spent time teaching Taekwondo to children, where she developed a deep appreciation for the discipline’s core tenets: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, and an indomitable spirit. Dr. Goldstein believes everyone is capable and helps others achieve this. These principles continue to guide her personally and professionally, shaping her compassionate, determined approach to helping others strengthen their own resilience and sense of purpose.
Dr. Goldstein values her time spent with her husband, son, and dog. People who know Dr. Goldstein would describe her as dedicated, insightful, thoughtful, optimistic, silly, and hard-working. She enjoys a good book by the pool or beach, a scenic hike, working out, and traveling. She is a passionate hocky fan and cherishes her time doing the things that she loves.
