Meet Megan Benda at Psychiatry of the Palm Beaches

Megan Benda began her career in neurology and was quickly captivated by the brain and its psychology: our mind and emotions and reactions to life and the world around us are so unique. While working in neurology and with patients in challenging health situations, Megan developed a rapport and interest in their mental and emotional needs. Her interest in psychiatric medicine grew as she helped many patients with their mental health crisis and struggles for the next four years in the Emergency Room.

Megan Benda has seen firsthand that we all have our low moment, our moment of mental crisis or despair and sometimes just need some reassuring words and empathy. Patients say Megan’s strengths are her listening skills and understanding of their unique story. Her gentle support has helped many patients rise from the hole of despair or the difficult situations that can feel so overwhelming and begin to live their best life. In her own words, Megan passionately works with her patients to “strive for that which is honorable, beautiful, and highest.” She believes everyone can find the high ground in their life and build on it, one step at a time.

Megan Benda is excited to be working at Psychiatry of the Palm Beaches where she can help support, encourage, and guide others to being the best version of themselves and living their best life. Megan consistently establishes a caring, affirming connection with her patients of all ages and dealing with many ailments, including anxiety, depression, mood and sleep disorders. Due to her life experience, Megan has a special connection and ability to help patients suffering from trauma and anxiety. She is also a working mom who understands the emotions and challenges that women face.
