Hannah grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she developed a strong appreciation for connection, learning, and personal growth. Her medical education began at Tennessee Technological University, where she was selected to serve as a tutor for fellow nursing students. This experience strengthened her communication skills and sparked her passion for guiding and supporting others.
She later completed her graduate training at East Tennessee State University, where she focused on psychiatric care and gained experience supporting individuals across a wide range of mental health needs. During her time there, Hannah received a scholarship through the Institute for Integrated Behavioral Health at the Quillen College of Medicine. Through this opportunity, she worked in integrated care settings, collaborating with medical providers and gaining a deeper understanding of how mental and physical health are closely connected.
Hannah gained valuable experience working alongside a sports psychologist to support student athletes. This experience was especially meaningful, given her own background as a collegiate athlete.
Hannah’s path into psychiatry was shaped by her early experiences in critical care. She spent five years working in intensive care units, including during the COVID-19 pandemic, where she witnessed the emotional and psychological impact that illness, uncertainty, and trauma can have on individuals and their families.
Even in fast-paced medical environments, Hannah found herself naturally drawn to the emotional side of care. She valued taking time to connect with individuals, offering support beyond physical health and recognizing the importance of feeling heard during difficult moments.
These experiences deepened her understanding of how closely mental and physical health are connected and ultimately inspired her to focus on mental health care in Melbourne and the surrounding areas. For Hannah, psychiatry offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships and support lasting, positive change.
Hannah takes a collaborative and supportive approach to care. She believes meaningful progress begins with feeling safe, heard, and understood. She creates a space where individuals feel comfortable opening up and sharing their experiences without fear of judgment.
Her approach focuses on the whole person. Rather than looking at challenges in isolation, she considers lifestyle, stress, personal history, and individual goals. This allows her to support people in a way that feels practical, balanced, and aligned with their lives.
Hannah is known for her positive outlook and approachable personality. She brings warmth, encouragement, and authenticity into her work, helping individuals feel more at ease even when discussing difficult topics. Many people appreciate her ability to listen closely, offer thoughtful insight, and create a calm, steady presence. Through this process, Hannah helps individuals build confidence, develop healthier patterns, and move forward with greater clarity, always with the goal of helping you live your best life.
Hannah’s philosophy of care is rooted in treating the whole person. She believes that everyone has a unique story, and that understanding those experiences is essential to meaningful mental health care.
She takes a thoughtful and intentional approach, focusing on what will be most helpful and sustainable for each person. Hannah values building strong, trusting relationships and believes that real progress happens over time through consistency, self-awareness, and support.
Her goal is to meet people where they are and help them move forward in a way that feels authentic and manageable. She believes mental health care should feel approachable and empowering, not overwhelming or impersonal.
By combining compassion, understanding, and collaboration, Hannah is committed to helping you live your best life while supporting lasting and emotional well-being.
Outside of work, Hannah enjoys spending time at the beach and taking advantage of everything the Melbourne area has to offer. She values time outdoors and finds that being near the water helps her stay grounded and recharged.
She enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family. These moments of connection and relaxation are an important part of maintaining balance in her own life.
As a former collegiate athlete, Hannah developed discipline, resilience, and a strong sense of teamwork, qualities that continue to influence how she approaches both her personal life and her work with others.
Friends and family often describe Hannah as positive, bubbly, and empathetic. Those she works with often notice her warm and approachable nature, finding her easy to talk to and encouraging throughout the process. She strives to create a space where patients feel comfortable being themselves and supported as they work toward meaningful and lasting growth.
