What Does Frank Do Outside of Psychiatry?
Frank grew up in Boca Raton, Florida, and has remained closely connected to the South Florida community. His path into psychiatry was shaped by a diverse and hands-on background in healthcare.
He began his medical education at Florida Atlantic University, where he developed a foundation in compassionate, people-focused care. He later pursued advanced psychiatric training at Chamberlain University, building expertise in supporting individuals through mental health challenges. In addition to his psychiatric training, Frank also earned paramedic certification and an Emergency Medical Services degree from Health Careers Institute.
This combination of experience, from emergency response to psychiatric care, shapes how he approaches psychiatric care today. Frank is comfortable working through complex situations, thinking critically, and staying grounded under pressure, while maintaining a calm and supportive presence.
Frank’s decision to specialize in psychiatry came from recognizing a clear gap in mental health care. Throughout his time in healthcare, he consistently saw how difficult it was for people to access timely and effective mental health treatment.
He witnessed this not only in clinical settings, but also among friends, family, and the broader community. Many people were left waiting, underserved, or unsure where to turn. That reality motivated him to step into a role where he could directly improve access to mental health care in Martin County.
Frank has helped many with their physical health, including working as a paramedic and fire fighter. He graduated from Coral Springs Fire Academy in 2004, with a desire in helping others in his community and offering effective care. While he has helped many recover in medical settings, psychiatry offered a unique opportunity to support long-lasting, positive change. Through thoughtful conversations, guidance, and practical strategies for daily life, Frank helps individuals move forward in ways that are both achievable and meaningful which contributes to his goal of helping you live your best life.
Frank approaches care as a true partnership. He believes meaningful growth happens when people feel safe to speak openly and are actively involved in shaping their journey. Every session is guided by collaboration, with Frank taking the time to understand each person’s experiences, concerns, and goals.
He provides a holistic approach that considers the full picture of an individual’s life. By combining thoughtful guidance with a deep understanding of what makes each person unique, Frank helps individuals build clarity, stability, and resilience. People often notice that he listens carefully, asks thoughtful questions, and ensures no detail is overlooked.
Frank emphasizes transparency and consistency, making sure people feel confident in the steps they are taking. He also brings warmth and relatability into his work, making the experience feel approachable and human rather than formal or clinical.
Frank believes mental health care should be effective, respectful, and grounded in everyday life. He approaches each person as a whole individual, recognizing that everyone has a story and that despite our differences, we all share common experiences.
He prioritizes building rapport and trust, engaging in meaningful conversations that create a strong therapeutic connection. Rather than focusing only on challenges, Frank looks at what is working, what needs attention, and what changes will help someone move forward.
As a lifelong learner, he stays informed on best practices in mental health care to ensure his approach is grounded in both compassion and knowledge. At the heart of his philosophy is progress that feels realistic and achievable. Whether it’s improving day-to-day functioning, fostering emotional balance, or strengthening long-term resilience, Frank’s work is always guided by helping you live your best life.
Outside of psychiatry, Frank enjoys spending time by the water and embracing the outdoors. Living in South Florida, he takes full advantage of the beach, valuing the calm and balance it brings to his life.
Frank cherishes time with his wife and their dog, enjoying simple, meaningful moments that keep life grounded. In his free time, he gravitates toward lighthearted and familiar movies, often revisiting favorites that bring humor and perspective.
Frank’s friends and family describe him as caring, funny, passionate, intelligent, trustworthy, and conscientious. Patients often notice his approachable and attentive nature, finding him easy to talk to. He cultivates an environment where people feel comfortable being honest, asking questions, and working toward real and lasting change.
With a combination of clinical expertise, personal empathy, and a collaborative approach, Frank strives to create mental health care that is both effective and humane. He is committed to supporting every patient on their journey toward balance, resilience, and personal growth.
