With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Williams helps patients navigate concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and much more. He takes a thoughtful and personalized approach to care, always focused on helping you live your best life.
Dr. Williams earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, magna cum laude, from Wake Forest University. He then received his medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
He completed his psychiatry residency and specialized training in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, Columbia, where he continues to teach and mentor future physicians. Dr. Williams also serves as an Associate Professor and Associate Dean of Student Affairs, reflecting his strong commitment to education and leadership.
Dr. Eric Williams has always been interested in understanding people on a deeper level. He was drawn to psychiatry because it allowed him to build meaningful connections and help individuals better understand themselves and their experiences.
Throughout his career, he has worked in hospitals, outpatient settings, community programs, and college health services. These experiences shaped his ability to meet patients where they are and support them through different stages of life.
