Yes, please call our clinic and we would be happy to help you.
When dealing with a patient who suffers from dementia it’s not the dementia we treat but the common side effects because of the dementia. Our providers will usually prescribe medications to manage their behavioral symptoms like agitation, aggression, and hallucinations. Our goal is to help that person live a life of better quality. Most of our providers treat these patients with some form of antidepressant.
We offer SPRAVATO at our PALM BEACH GARDENS and BOYNTON BEACH offices. The actual treatment can be ordered through the Spravato Team. An evaluation appointment is needed prior to getting Spravato treatment.
Yes! In addition to therapy and medication management, we offer Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), a non-invasive treatment for depression and other conditions that haven’t responded well to traditional medications. And SPRAVATO (Esketamine Nasal Spray) is used to treat treatment-resistant depression in adults. If you’re interested, your provider can assess whether TMS or SPRAVATO might be a good option for you.
Yes, our providers provide therapy! If a treatment with medication can be implemented, our providers may suggest this option. Medication is not required, and this does not mean they need to stop seeing us if they are not taking medication. Not all of our patients require medication.
YES, it is a type of therapy that helps people learn to identify, question, and change how their thoughts, attitudes, and beliefs relate to the emotional and behavioral reactions causing them difficulties.
At Psychiatry of the Palm Beaches, we offer comprehensive mental health care, integrating psychotherapy and medication management to meet each patient’s unique needs. Our providers tailor treatment based on individual preferences—some patients focus solely on therapy, while others incorporate medication or are referred for specialized care.
We utilize a variety of evidence-based therapy approaches, including:
● Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)—Helps reframe negative thoughts and behaviors
● Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)—Focuses on emotional regulation and distress tolerance
● Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)—Encourages mindfulness and values-based actions
● Interpersonal Therapy (IPT)—Enhances communication and relationship skills.
We will see children as young as 8 years old.
Our self-pay rate is $185.00, and the payment is due on the date of service.
Services may be charged up to 24 hours before the appointment on the credit card provided. This may be for copays or self-pay rates.
Evaluations are 1 hour long, and follow-up appointments are 20-30 minutes, depending on the provider assigned.
If necessary, we can switch your provider. However, we recommend building a relationship with one provider, as continuity of care often leads to the best treatment outcomes. That said, your comfort and trust in your provider are important, so if a change is needed, we are happy to assist in finding the right fit for you.
During your first visit, your provider will take the time to understand your concerns, symptoms, medical history, and goals for treatment. This may include discussing past treatments, medications, and any life stressors affecting your mental health. Our goal is to create a personalized treatment plan that works best for you. You are welcome to ask any questions or express any concerns at any time.
Not necessarily. Medication is just one option for managing mental health conditions, and it may or may not be the right fit for you. Some patients benefit from therapy alone, while others find a combination of therapy and medication to be most effective. Your provider will discuss all options with you and tailor the treatment plan based on your comfort level and needs.
Follow-up appointments depend on your treatment plan. Initially, they may be scheduled more frequently to monitor progress and adjust medication if needed. Over time, they may be spaced out. Some patients prefer shorter check-ins, while others benefit from longer sessions for in-depth discussions. Your provider will work with you to determine the best schedule.
Yes. Your privacy is a top priority, and all information shared during your sessions is confidential. There are only a few exceptions, such as concerns about immediate harm to yourself or others.
